Nothing like a little weed killer in your beer......

I bet roy knew about this all the time and was why neighbors would see him peeing on his weeds in his yard.....

Controversial herbicide used in weed killer Roundup is detected in several leading beer and wine brands including Coors Light, Budweiser and Beringer

Traces of a controversial weed killer have been detected in a number of the world's leading beer and wine brands, a new report claims.

In a study by public-interest advocacy group US PIRG that tested five wines and 15 beers, including organic ones, the chemical glyphosate was found in all but one of the beverages sampled.

Glyphosate - the most common herbicide in the world and an ingredient in the weed killer Roundup - is a probable human carcinogen, according to the International Agency for Research on Cancer, part of the World Health Organization.

Apparently a lot of the contamination is caused by Round Up actually being present in the rain. That to me is kind of scary.

Better to drive 950 miles and kick asz than go a thousand miles and get nothing.

This did not surprise me when I saw this on the news. The beer is just the beginning. Most everything else you had for lunch today probably had something bad in it.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

If commercial farmers use many tons of weed killer on virtually every type of crop, I can't see how anyone could be surprised that there are trace amounts of that weed killer on the foods we eat and drink. How could things be otherwise? I guess the real question is how much is in our foods, and how much danger does it pose …

Wondering what the scale on this chart is - 49.7 "whats" - milliliters, picolitres, microliters ... parts per billion of … might be best is if we gradually get exposed so we can mutate over the generations to thrive on such chemicals
Expired once again in Portland ...
Still musing about cans

I'm sure the alcohol in beer is a far greater danger to health than trace quantities of round-up. And if it's in beer, how much of it is bread and in everything else that is grain based?

Not to hijack this post but with more states legalizing marijuana, and craft brewers such as Blue Moon starting to infuse beer with THC, by next year the topic will be nothing like a little "Killer Weed" in your beer instead of "Weed Killer" in your beer!
