Dave done the Rusty Bunch proud... He came with one empty box and picked up double the amount that would fit in it. Good to see you again Neighbor!

Re: Dave Wheaton scores rare squatty 7oz flat at CFR2019
Great show as always! I love Cabin Fever, and it was great to see everybody.
The 7oz CC was pretty cool. It was hanging out on the very bottom of the bottom box in a good sized pile of $5 cans, and went overlooked. And although it was previously undocumented, it's actually the second one I've had. The first was much more faded and was found about 5 years ago at the now-defunct Hendersonville, NC show. This example has a SC tax lid, which is pretty much ground zero for the few squat 7s that were produced. (The only one I can think of that turns up outside of SC with any regularity is Canadian Ace.) So having stumbled over 2 dumpers of this label now, it stands to reason there must be others floating around.
Anyhow, at Chris T's suggestion, I checked with the supplement committee and they didn't have it. They do now.

Here are the only 2 I have. The 8oz can on the left is added for perspective. The one In the middle is the only 7oz can of this version I have ever seen. Upside down of course, well you get the idea.

Those are great. The 96 Years can on the right seems to turn up occasionally, but is still light years from being common. And yes, the later one in the middle is even tougher. I think I've only seen one other.
Love that pic! Thanks for posting it.

The one on the right appears to be the actual can pictured in the USBC. I believe I have one also, but am away from my cans for a few more weeks.

Yes, the one on the right is pictured in the book.
As far as on grade examples on any of the 7oz CC. I saw one Fred Johnson had at B&G about 10 years ago and I believe there is a restored one, that is pretty sharp .

I dug those 7 ouncers by the dozens back in the day and couldn't give them away. I even found one dump with 7 ounce Canadian Ace ML.

I remember you talking about those a few years back. Did you ever figure out if that dump was still there?

I know the area was clear cut a few years ago. The dump might be buried now.
