Re: Is this legit????
Sellers posting says it’s “guaranteed all original”. If indeed fake, someone is going to be out of a lot of $$$!!!

Re: Is this legit????
Should these below experienced bidders have known better than to spend over $190 for a $5 “fake” can!

Re: Is this legit????
Any chance that this was a military flat top? Maybe only available at a PX/NX or sent to bases overseas?
Hard to believe that a St. Louis can would have escaped notice for 44+ years but you never know.

Re: Is this legit????
I have learned never to say never. Brad Flinders found a couple of Lone Star Drafts under a building in West Texas with a few other flats and some tabs. Before that I would have sworn the can didn’t exist. That said, the LS was mid 60’s, when did Michelob first can this design?

Re: Is this legit????
Wikipedia says Michelob started canning in 1966.
Could it be an Oregon can, where pull tabs were prohibited?

Re: Is this legit????
I use to have a legitimate Michelob flat from Merrimack NH, as verified by the Can Dr. As stated by him, "somebody drank this"! You also see legit Narry Beer ship cans from the 70's with those flat lids on them. I even saw a dumper of it once with part of the lid rotted right through. They do exist! Wood

Re: Is this legit????
Wow! It is a sharp looking can. Based on all the feedback, I’m siding with ‘legit’ on this one.

It was worth it to the person who ended up with it.

Re: Is this legit????
Nope not an Oregon can. All Oregon bottle bill flats were soft tops and all had a refund statement stamped or embossed on the lid.clark wrote:Wikipedia says Michelob started canning in 1966.
