THANK YOU SEAMONKEY

Post by CMD »

Thanks for the hook up on getting this Century porcelain sign from Trinidad Colorado. The sign was in SC and Scott's friend was going to the same antique show in Texas that my other buddy Todd Barnes was attending so he was able to make the transaction and bring the sign back to Phoenix where I picked it up this weekend...I was waiting for it since late summer

Thanks again

Dan

I have suggested to people before that they have bulky items passed from person to person to get them across the country. It's great to see this worked out. Considering how much traveling we do for this hobby, it seems like it would happen more often (or maybe it does).
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

The funny part of the story was that I was brokering the deal literally from the second deck of the Eifle Tower in Paris, France. Had to pass CMD’s offer to my buddy at a gas/oil show. He went back to buy it and it was already sold. Luckily it sold to a friend of his and he was able to work something out to get it back so it could go to Dan. All this juggling was going on with my friend while talking right out side the 2nd Deck gift shop. The wind was whipping around so much I could barely hear. My wife was pissed that as we are enjoying a once in a lifetime moment I was still distracted by beer can collecting...lol. I enjoyed being able to hook 2 friends up!

Glad you like it. It is a cool sign and I’m happy it’s finally home!!!

I have 2 signs and a Heirloom Beer neon loaded in my car right now to deliver to a few guys at Blue Gray from my same buddy that got the sign to Texas for Dan. The Ponny Express is alive and well....
