Need a Carling expert

Would like to know if this looks like an actual can that ever held beer:
This is actually a picture of a camera designed to look like a beer can.....which is in the general category of what I'm collecting now. However, I'm only collecting things that look like actual cans.....and I can't figure out if this design was ever an actual can. Any Carling experts out there that might know? Apparently from what I can find, Carling was cut out as a beer sponsor by FIFA for the 1998 World Cup. This meant they couldn't use the World Cup Logo. In response, their ad agency produced an alternative logo and branding for Carling around the phrase "Vive Le Football" that included an object that looked something like the football logo of FIFA. Just can't tell if they ever made an actual beer can, or if it was just these promotional items like cameras....
