I received some new cans a couple of weeks ago and I started entering them in my spreadsheet. Using the BCCA Vol 2 book for reference. Usually pretty straight forward. But this particular can comes in many variations. Red (Black Label) well the books information just wasn't adding up with what I had ? So I accessed the supplement (5 view, very cool) and spent a good bit of time inspecting cans. While I don't think it's rare, I think I spent enough time looking to be confident that it's not listed. Here are the particulars :

Re: Ya I know, another unlisted can ?
Have not seen that version before.
For the Supplement, we have made the determination that we do not add a can if the only difference is a canning company logo or MPC. The same thing goes for lid and seam variations. To do so would make the already gargantuan effort suicidal. Jim Wolf has done a good job of examining each of the minor variations to determine if there are other reasons to add a can. A good example is Busch where they added trees when they went from a wide seam to a narrow one. I have advocated for us to list such variations in comments, but have lost that argument.
While I collect all those minor variations if I come upon them, I do not actively search for them.
Thanx.
