Another "anything here" thread

Picked these up in a lot at a storage locker sale and I've picked out what I wanted of the bunch. I know little about pull tabs and didn't want to toss out anything someone might want but I simply can't store anymore stuff. First picture are all SS, second pic the 12 oz. are crimped steel. The 5 flats on the left in the second pic are either duplicates or don't fit my collection - the Dobler has rust holes and the 1000 dollar is dented. The Pabst in the second pic is upside down. Be glad to trade for flats I need if there's anything worth it in the pic. Thanks.

I am guessing Steve already has an upside down Pabst but if he does not, maybe the two of you can work something out.

About the only thing I see there is the $1000 flat. It looks like it's in nice shape.

Seems to me that someone will always be willing to take the straight steel cans, even if they're common. If you offer them for the shipping, I'm confident someone on the site will take them.

Actually I found it, it's found in a copy of "The Encyclopedia of Collectibles", I'm not sure who wrote the article, but states that the "Amana religious society" put an injunction on the brewery that introduced that can within a week after it was introduced, so making it a rare can, although the article also states that many collectors rushed to buy up as many as possible before the cans were pulled from shelves, seams odd that the price for these is so low, must have been a lot bought in a very short period of time...

I agree. If anyone wants the SS cans I'd ship them for $20 including the Foster's and both 24 oz. Schlitz. To trash something that's 40 years old seems wasteful to me but I have a lot of stuff I deem worthy of saving but my better half doesn't share that ideology. She thinks we'll end up on the next episode of "Hoarders".

Thanks for the info Crustyrusty. I always thought it had to do with a trademark issue with the appliances that were made by Amana. I agree there was some kind of frenzy when these cans were released.
