I received a new Fox Deluxe Grand Rapids tab knob today. I already had the red one. The red one makes sense to me. I can easily imagine an arm extending up vertically with the red tap knob screwed to the top.
The yellow one I had previously never seen before I bought this one. I have since discovered this style of tap knob is not unique to Fox Deluxe but this style does appear to be much less common than the style used for the red tap knob. I'm having trouble imagining how this one was mounted. Since the part that mounts onto the arm is square and therefore has no threads, this suggests it dropped down over the arm and gravity held it on. However, mounted like that, the Fox Deluxe label would be upside down. I suppose the label could have been spun around over the years but it seems quite secure so I think I am missing something.
Does anyone have a picture showing how the yellow tap knob was used?
Thanks in advance.

Hmm . . . maybe the label on mine has been spun at some point in time. Here is a similar tap knob I found on ebay.

Very interesting. I have never been to Barry's web site before. That is a great history of tap knobs.
It appears the label on my Kooler-Keg sidewinder tap knob is not aligned properly. Is it realistic for me to remove and rotate it or should I just leave it alone? I'm mentioning Barry below to get his attention but I would welcome input from anyone.
