Question about Pabst O/I ???
I received a Pabst O/I can in the mail today. Looking through the Lilek book to figure out what I have.. which is 642. While I browse thru the book to see how many different variation are in there. I know I'll never complete. Because I only interesting cans that brewed in WI. I notice there is a blue and red opener (churchkey) . While looking for the different, it seem to me that any can that brewed in Milwaukee will have a blue opener. While can that brewed in Peoria Height, ILL will have a red opener. My question Is there a such of thing a red opener brewed in Milwaukee ?? Or does not exist ???

Re: Question about Pabst O/I ???
I take it, They never make a red opener brewed in Milwaukee. It make sense for the can plant , Have a red opener in Peoria Height, ILL So they know the different.

Re: Question about Pabst O/I ???
Yes, the red openers are always from Peoria Heights and the blue (or black for Bock & Old Tankard) are always Milwaukee.

I can move this to another thread if not pertinent.
Of note: on the 1940 - 41 non-OI Pabst Blue Ribbons:
Peoria Heights variations: Keglined panels are RED Milwaukee variations: Keglined panels are BLUE.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Re: Question about Pabst O/I ???
There are 2 versions of the 1940-41 can, the 96/97 Years on the side panel. Did BOTH versions from Peoria get the white AND silver side panels? and same for the Milwaukee versions??
