I have always explained to people that my theory for that slogan was because of the 1952 Presidential election, however I have never been 100% sure. Can anyone confirm this or correct me?

@bantam10 Ted...it was just a marketing thing for 1952 by Champagne Velvet...It was used throughout 1952 but never 1953....

that and the candidates were Dwight D. Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson.....nothing linked to CV-52

Thanks for the advertisements. The fact it was only used in 52 kinda makes me lean towards my “theory”.
And I wasn’t saying that the candidates and the slogan were directly related. Simply a sales pitch to match the events during that time.
