Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
The alcohol statement is the neat thing on that can. There are plenty of flat bottom Schlitz cones, but not many with that particular alcohol statement. Matt

Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
The Schlitz Lager typically comes as a flat bottom inverted ribbed cone. It's much tougher to find as a concaved bottom raised ribbed cone in my opinion & should be worth more as a CB/RR in my opinion. LEON.
P.S. When you say worth more, worth more compared to what?

Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
The flat bottom inverted rib (FBIR) cone was the very first cone out in the market. It was introduced in the fall of 1935 and was only in production for about 6 months.

Yep, I agree with both Matt and Leon on this can.
Tough alcohol statement.
In general the Schlitz Lager concave bottom is tougher than the flat bottom
in general the Schlitz Vitamin D flat bottom is tougher than the concave bottom.

Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
From my August / September BCCA Can Close up article on the Schlitz FBIR, the 3.2 - 5% seemed to be the toughest. I had an indoor example from Gene Judd (who quickly bought it back - (USBC 183/10 is probably that exact can as it was formerly owned by Bob McCoy)
I think conesplus had a dumper but I had't heard of any others before yours.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
Thanks for the responses I was curious if the flat bottom was worth more than the concave. Was looking for an idea of value.

Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
The flat bottom is older and typically more desirable tougher but like Leon said in the case of the Schlitz it’s the opposite for Some reason
To me it makes Goog Goog sense !

Re: Schlitz Lager cone Top
If anyone has one one these reasonably for sale please let me know. Have some advertising with the can on it but don’t have a decent version of the can.
