Re: DITTO PHONEY $250.
"PLEASE NOTE THIS ENTIRE CAN HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY PAINTED. Whoever did the paintover did a fantastic job" is a little more emphatic than 'some touch up'.
Plus it has "Reproduction" on the bottom in marker. Doesn't seem like this seller is being shifty.

Re: DITTO PHONEY $250.
I couldn't read the bottom. What's shifty is it's not like the white Maier Select cone that was painted over a faded white Maier select cone. This is a rare Keiwels lp painted over probably a common Champage Velvet hp dumper. It be like me sending Ditto a faded dumper champage velvet HP & after paying him $25 say paint over it a Royal Finast. Then try to sell it on ebay as a Rare Royal Finast for $1,000.00 & say it's totally repainted. I'd buy the Maier over a Maier for $150 before I bought this $5 can for $250. Some new sucker will probably buy it for $250.

Re: DITTO PHONEY $250.
Agree with Leon's comments. Should say "REPRODUCTION" or "REPLICA" in the listing, not in the accompanying fine print. The magic marker added to the bottom of the can could easily be removed with the right cleaner. The seller did update the listing to indicate it's a different can underneath. Nevertheless, it's a total fraud/forgery/fantasy can versus an original can that's been re-painted or touched-up. Should have zero dollar value to any true collector.

Yeah, you get what I'm trying to say. I guess my conversation with seller made him change description & lower ridiculous high opening bid. He & many others have no clue what a Ditto can is. I couldn't see any Ditto can getting more then $20 bucks max (just my opinion, others may vary) But you'll get people outbidding each other in a bidding war on these things not knowing what they are & paying many Hundreds $$$. People should be informed. LEON.

Re: DITTO PHONEY $250.
I have a couple original cans that could use some touch up or partial repaint, anyone know someone who specializes in this?

Re: DITTO PHONEY $250.
I realize people frown on repainted or touched up cans, but to me if the can is original underneath a little touch up wouldn't hurt if its in your private collection
