Haha! I wish! I have not been on CL for about a week cuz I was on vacation in the Azores!!! A beautiful island if you ever get the chance to visit! Delicious food, good wine & beer.

As for the Dawson, there are plenty of beer can "hawks" in the area. If you think it went for $400, I guess somebody got lucky. What town was it in?

Talked to the seller. She said it sold quickly for 400 (she thought guys name was Frank?). She lives in Haverhill and said they pulled it out of a demo in Dedham.

I picked this one up at the Toledo show about four years ago.

Walk in. Guy approached me about buying it, said he'd had it for 30 years. I gave him a number, he asked a few other guys and then came back to me. I upped my number just a bit and it was done. I was then, and am now, very happy with the deal.

It’s a beauty!!! Although, at a show amongst knowledgeable collectors, I’ll bet you paid a heck of a lot more than 400.

The guy who bought it is named Franky Mitton and lives in Salem, MA. He just posted on Facebook. I think he is some sort of antique collector, etc and says this was the first can he ever bought. Lucky SOB! His pics on FB make the can look even nicer. WOW!

That's a nice way to try to get people to make you offers of $1,000 or $1,500 or $2,000.
