I've only now come to appreciate the different slogans on the 8oz Goebel Bantam cans. It hadn't really registered with me before. How much tougher is the "Right from the cypress casks..." version versus the "Nationally famous... "version? I don't see the "cypress cask" version out there anywhere on ebay or elsewhere. Seems it is significantly tougher??? Comments?
I had to go back through pictures to figure out where I found the one on my shelf. It was in a cabin dump in the central UP, Hiawatha area, back in 2007. Goebel bantam question

Re: Goebel bantam question
There is one version of the "Right From" can and five different versions of the "Nationally Famous" can. So there are a lot more "Nationally Famous" cans out there, with some versions more difficult than others. They are all out there, just more of the "Nationally Famous" cans.

Re: Goebel bantam question
I had to go to UpState NY to find a decent one of the “Right from” Bantams... they were at the top of the hill of what was to become “the Apollo Dump” and they were the reason Gary Bora let me keep digging in the dump. It was raining and he stayed in the car looking at maps because he didn’t come to NY to get soaked just to dig Goebels. If it hadn’t been for the Bantams, I wouldn’t have dug down deeper and found the Apollo’s.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Re: Goebel bantam question
Here are my Goebel Bantam beers. The toughest for me to get was the enameled version.
