foreign- to me, zips
digging in beer5527s’ giant pile of zips and uncovered some foreign beauties, he doesn’t sell/trade from his collection so I didn’t even ask. What others are out there? Killer cans- Ziphippie

Re: foreign- to me, zips
I would like a Cruz Blanca as a zip.
I have one as a fan tab with "CIA. ARRENDATARIA DE LA CERVECERIA DE CD. JUAREZ, S.A., CIUDAD JUAREZ, CHIH. MEXICO along the left side of a 7 notched (small) seam - National Can symbol inside a white continental USA.
And I have one as an early ring pull "CERVECERIA CRUZ BLANCA, S.A. CIUDAD JUAREZ, CHIH., MEXICO along the right side of a 7 tooth (larger than notches) seam - "N.M.S.A." in an oval canning symbol ... curious what seam tpe and canning info is on the zip?

Re: foreign- to me, zips
In the last pic posted, I believe the blue/white w/red center can in the middle by itself is a fan tab, not a zip. It's also possible that the can beneath it is also a fan tab. Zip tabs only came in the "Beaker" shape, the Hamm Bone shape and Dog Bone shaped versions. Anything after that falls into the Pull tab genre. If I'm wrong, I'm sorry, but that's what I've come to understand about Zip tabs.

Re: foreign- to me, zips
You are correct. I did not get a pic of the top lid on my first visit and remembered it(incorrectly) as a zip.

Re: foreign- to me, zips
beer5527 started the feeding frenzy about 5:30pm- the garage was packed and all cans were free. The basement is packed but part of the collection- NFS. The foreign cans I post are all in the basement. Rusty Bunchers in attendance were ClowSlawYum, zoinkss, carsbr549 and Rusty J. Here are some more cool cans I know nothing about, the zips were not accessible this time round- Ziphippie
