Old Crown Bock $ 532.00

#1

Post by JustJoe »

I'm fairly new, getting back into collecting. I like my tabs don't get me wrong . Spend a little to much time cruising ebay . This Old Crown Bock is not a rare label , wide seam and zip maybe ? I could maybe see $ 50.00 or even $ 75.00 for this can . Not like it's a Top Hat, or Playboy caliber of can ? There's a half dozen of these narrow seam, ring pulls for $ 3.00 or less on EBay right know . Can't think of another can with that much spread between just the top and the seam ?

The zip is intact, that added about $450 to the can.

Also, it's very rare as a zip. Apparently you guys see them often. Goes to show you that condition, couple with tough zips equals big money. Glad to see them get the respect they deserve.

I got Mine as a kid in the 70s. One of the few cans that I always saved since then. I had no idea it was worth that much. When I was a kid. We had no money. No cans were ever bought. Only trading amongst other kids mostly. I never had any tough cans to trade. Only flashy 70s cans that impressed other kids. And common dumpers You find in Northern Indiana. So No idea how I got it. But glad I held onto it.

That's what I'm saying ? Don't have access to the on line supplement. I don't believe they have values on the variations ? So if a guy finds one with out the tab intact is it worth $ 250 ? Other than what someone is willing to pay for it , what makes this a $500 plus can ? Is there any reference to support it ? I'll have to keep a eye on the Bay , usually when one goes that high, more follow. Like I said before I'm all about the tabs, if it's worth it that great :smt026
