What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
There's probably another thread started on this subject somewhere, but I couldn't find it......
In addition to some memories of fun times spent with great friends, I picked up the following for the collection. Mostly upgrades, but a few newbies for the shelf. The Alt Heidelberg is IRTP, and one that I've been seeking for awhile now. I thought that the IRTP Bavarian's cone was a good deal at $200. The gold label Kato cone is another that I've been searching for, probably since the first time I saw one pictured in the BCU in the 1970s!
So, what did you pick up?

I think $200 was a steal on the Bavarians IRTP. Congrats. LEON.

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
Agree 100% Leon.
That can, in the condition it appears to be in, would be a decent buy for the non-IRTP version. Given you see at least 10 non cans for every IRTP can (maybe even 20/1) this was truly a bargain. My guess is the seller didn't know the difference when he priced it.

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
The Krueger, Schlitz (Kansas City), Drewerys (Chicago), Mickeys (by Sterling Brewers) and Falstaff (Cranston) are adds, The Falstaff from Cranston I only recently learned existed so very surprised when I spun the can to see the side label. Actually all 4 cans I added I only knew I needed after spinning them.
Old Milwaukee (Tampa), Busch (Tampa) and Schaefer were nice upgrades
I thought the hotel and hall were great - It was so easy going back/forth I thought, and nice area!

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
The Falstaff 16 from Cranston that I have was the only one that I had ever seen. What a terrific can you just got! I had almost given up on spinning them, and then about 4-5 years ago one of them surfaced in a collection that Ray Choquette was selling from Rhode Island. He seems to think that he had traded for the can back in the 80's. I don't think that there has been any type of significant find of those at all. I'm sure we don't have the only 2, but damn, what a toughie! Great job!!! Woody

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
I din't take a pic, be here's a list of what I got (includes Ebay items that arrived while I was in Omaha)
Conetop: 12oz green & gold Esslinger Ale
Flat top: Regal Pale 1st generation, Drewery's Ale OI, Diamond State, St. Claire beer (upgrade)
Quarts: Harvard Ale & Hohenadel Indian Queen Ale
Bottles: ABC steinie
Trays: Kuebler with the guy on it and Golden West factory scene
Tap Knobs: Old Ranger Beer & Ale, Drewery's and blue Bushkill
Clock: Peter Doelger
Mini bottles: a pair of Felsenbraus and 1 esslinger (to complete the pair)
So, not a ton of stuff, but enough to make me happy. There were a lot of things I wanted, just couldn't afford them. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next year in New Mexico!

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
The Walter's Ale is is a new addition. The Fox Head Bock is an upgrade from a rolled to an original can. The first Schlitz is Withdrawn Free, the second is CLT 4%, the third is no Alc. content. All 3 Schlitz are new additions. Also picked up a Miller test can. Great show.

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
I filled some holes in my shelves, and I think I got the "worst known" tall 12 Ambrosia.
Also - luck smiled on me as I walked late into the Rusty Bunch meeting and won the raffle Kruger Ale!
Long live rust!

Re: What did you bring home with you from Omaha?
Tom, is the Corona a variation of a can you already had?
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

The Miller color test cans are harder to find in the "Recyclable Aluminum" version.....I only have the blue one in that version. I LIKE IT!
