Hard to come by in clean condition. Off grade tough but not impossible. Be sure the can code is JMC. The Mile Hi chapter had an off grade one a few weeks ago for the chili cook off, it was the grand prize in the raffle.

I've been told the 12oz. steel Coors were only marketed in west Texas. The 15oz. Coors were sold everywhere.

There are 4 different tab lids for the steel 12oz. Don't know if there's one tougher than the other, but a few years ago Brad Flinders found a 6 pack in TX on his way to the Albuquerque show. Sold them for $50 apiece, clean.

The Meister Brau is the toughest of the bunch. I've had a few Trophy's. I'll keep you in mind if I run across another.

I just happened to pick one of these up off of Ebay. Its rough but very legible. Just wondering if this is the can code and what it might stand for? Thanks

The JMC can code stands for Jeffco Mfg. Corp. The 12 oz. Coors steel tabs have this can code and no other. For more info, go to the CO composite thread. I posted a reply from Coors regarding this company. Fascinating reading.

The West Texas thing makes sense as I have found quite a few of them in the desert areas around El Paso. I guess I should go back and pick them up.

I recommend you download your own copy of the list and inventory your Colorado cans. If you have something not on the list, I need to know!

The Trophy is a fan tab. And, yes, the MB is a juicer. Both tough cans for sure. The MB is a bit tougher between the two.

@Scott Rollert scared me with the Coors can code, so I had to check mine. All is good! :smt023

Get noticed more. Too much clutter with craft and 70's cans under pull tabs
