PAPER LABEL PRIOR?
Have this prior tab and it appears to be a label wrapped around another can...anyone know anything about? Definitely has a "textured" feel to it but not orange peel

Doesn't look like a paper label to me. Maybe someone sprayed a layer of clear paint?

Sure looks like a clear coat was sprayed on the can or even some type of wax that has yellowed with age.
The white area under the top rim that has not yellowed and the texture obvious in the light glare seems to be the key. (first picture)
