Like many of you, I took a couple days off from work this week. Today, I have been trying to prepare for SummerSwap in Frankenmuth. It will be on July 20 and 21 but I will be pretty busy between now and then so I thought I should start packing now. I still have more to pack but this is a start. I am going to have a large outside spot so I should have room for everything. Hope to see you all there.

If that is the case, it must have been before I returned to the hobby. I never met Dave because he passed before I returned to the hobby but I have often heard his name mentioned. Here is a video you all may find interesting. It was made in remembrance of Dave.

Dave has not slipped our minds. It has always been the Summerswap show. Maybe the year after he died we did a tribute to him but have never changed the name of the show. In fact Dave is mentioned may times throughout the Chapters newsletter for things that he has done for the hobby and those which continue to be done, like the Rusty Bunch Dump. In fact we have made the summerswap show a two day show in order to better mimic what Dave tried to do when he was in charge and that is get many people from outside the area to be able to attend this great show including many Rusty Bunchers. Sorry in advance for the rant.

@kamsquared just called me from Frankenmuth and asked where the show is at! I believe we have a new @josh !!!

A week early? He didn't goof up. He's just enthusiastic.

That very premature "Post your pictures and highlights from the 2018 Summerswap show here." post had me thinking it might be this weekend, too. But I actually checked the dates before driving out there.

I was just trying to get the small stuff done before business ramps up next week.

I was confused!!!! Had to put a new condenser in a Charger and then help work on my buddies 57 Chevy wagon....left early to hit the “show”...
Danny informed me I was a bit early.
