Solution for viewing ended listings on E-Bay

Post by bigcitydave »

I found a way to view ended listings on E-Bay. Wait a few days and then click on the the feedback number that follows the seller's user name. Then scroll down until you find the buyer's feedback for that item. Look to the right and click on "View item". This should take you to the original listing with pictures. Make sure you mark the item as "add to watch list" while item is active. Then the user name and feedback number will be on your watch page when item ends. Works for me.

Only 1 flaw with that. Not everybody leaves feedback. LEON.

Here is another way: After clicking on a sold listing, it might give you a similar item with a blue band across the top. In this blue band, click on "listing" in the message: The listing you’re looking for is no longer available." Once the listing appears, click on "See original listing"

When I buy on Ebay, I always leave pos. feedback when I get the item and all is well.

When I sell on Ebay, I never leave feedback until the buyer has left pos. for me.

As we all know, the buyer has all the power on Ebay these days. Even though the seller pays the fees, Ebay will side with the buyer 99% of the time if there is an issue.

Yeah, that's what said back on June 8th in this post with pictures:
Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
oldindiapaleale wrote: Fri Jun 08, 2018 8:28 pm You may have noticed that ebay, with their infinite wisdom, has decided to make it more difficult to look at a closed listing.

In the case of the link to the fake Stoney's conetop, they take you to a live auction for a Wooden Shoe conetop.
Notice the line in blue that says: The listing you're looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you.

Really. I wanted to see the Stoney's fake that we are discussing and they bring up a Wooden Shoe instead.

I've added pictures showing how to get to the Stoneys. Click on "listing" which will bring up the Stoney's. then click on "see original listing" which will bring up the pictures.

Please note that this does not always work. I have encountered some items that bring you to a page that says "This product is not available at this time" and you can not get to the original listing at all.

What a waste of time. It makes sense to copy all the pictures and text info for future reference while you still can.
