dakota paper label
i recently purchased a collection from an older gentleman that said he worked at the dadota brewery in the early 60s there is a dakota flat top paper label can that he said was made to cover up the frank bauwer can underneath because the brewery was in trouble with the canning company and they had a lein on the brewery and the cans . i cant seem to find any pictures on the net of this paper label but i did find an article on the brewery that backs up his story does anyone have any knowledge or info about this. i could send pictures my number is 720 684 7003 thanks kent

Can you post pictures on this site? Thanks.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: dakota paper label
Yes Please post any photos and the related article. Not sure if there was anything made as a Frank Bauer can. I have an article that has Frank Bauer the brewmeister drinking from the first can. All those on the production line look like the original. Curious to see what is actually under the paper label. Here are a few other articles of interest.....I just might have to write a history if there isn't one done already....a bunch of information out there...

Re: dakota paper label
Cool test label. However, in my opinion, im glad they chose the design actually used on the can. I think it is a great design.
