Firstly, I thought I’d catch somebody just looking at the picture and not reading the article. That didn’t happen because the first two postings after it, pointed out the article’s theme…fake cans. OK, that fizzled out!

Leon,
That’s a pretty good assortment for small cans not being your specialty. Thanks for the additional pics. . I checked the online Supplement. They don’t show a small Regal!!

Halfquart,
Your pics are fine. When I click on them, they show correctly on my Windows 10 laptop. Thanks for showing some really tough cans.

Jinsequa,
Mr. Pacific Northwest! Always a pleasure to see your efforts to collect every can made up there. A couple of unusual Olympia items there.

CMD,
I’m sure you guys are inundated with requests so I’ll just pile on. As you might see by this thread, there’s some interest in the small can world. Any chance of group picture or something? I know you guys are posting on eBay but any chance for the non-eBay or non-members to have a shot at any of those? You mentioned the Country Club cans. The Supplement shows 38 different cans. I'd love to have a shot at any of them.

Here's pics of my small cans. I don't specialize in them but collect the ones that fall into my area of specialization which is primarily western cans. I'm still looking for one Lucky 7 oz. to round out the set of 12 different. The tiny Jubilee is made of paper and is for storing matches. The Schlitz SML are paper labels from LA I dumped myself.

I had posted my 8 oz flats in an earlier picture. Here are my 7 oz flats, along with some of the better 7 and 8 oz tabs in this picture.
oldmoneytexas: just curious about the special exports in your first picture. Can one and three, both malt liquor. Are they different somehow? I was not aware of a variety with this. I have the stout and malt lager, and the malt liquor, but no secondary variety.

The French 76 is one can I looked for for a long time. The 'tall' variety showed up in someone's picture in this thread. I am understanding that the tall version is quite scarce. Can anyone confirm or demolish?

I really desire the three cans hall quart showed. They are just not around to get very often, in good condition.

Most of the rest of the small tabs I have are still boxed up. Someday.......

Ok - The little cans are not a side collection - they are (part of) a SIDE OF MY COLLECTION. As many of you know, I really enjoy them, many variations - esp the Country Club cans, odd tops, many diff canning codes, tax stamps - you get the picture. One of these days, I need to finish my inventory. The full panel photos are approx 75% of them - the others are sadly boxed up. I collect all varitions FT, SS, CS and Alum - there are also a couple of foreign cans in the mix

I know very little about either the tall French 76 or the tall Pearl Light. I do not know if either were ever produced to be placed into regular distribution. I came by the 7oz Pearl from the distributor in Little Rock over 35 years ago. Mine is air sealed.
The French 76 is a blank sheet rolled around another can. I do suspect there were some actual cans produced, but not sure if they were ever filled. Got this one from Bill Salk over 40 years ago. To date these are the only 2 I have ever seen, but suspect there has to be a few of both floating around.

Boardman, The Green Goebel Ale "Crystilled" can and the Tech Ale cans that you have are awesome. I've been on the hunt for years for those and have yet to see one for sale. In fact your Tech Ale cans are the first I have ever seen outside of the book can.

Really Good Stuff - Thanks for Sharing.

This is a very interesting thread. I knew there were a number of "small can guys" out there, but I'm surprised at the number of guys here who are serious about the small cans. The cans are definitely cool and there's a lot to be learned from this discussion.

Whatever happened to the guy who called himself "smallcanglory" here?

Wowzers! That's a lot of little cans!

Unbeknownst to many, I do have about a dozen flats in the collection.......Don't tell anyone though......My reputation will be ruined. Two of these flats happen to be the little Techs that I acquired very early in my collecting career.

The first is a bank that I saw in (of all places) a dry cleaners window, and I was able to purchase it.

I was given this can by a friend that found it in his basement. It was still full until about a year ago.

I estimate there are at least 12 of the little Pearl 7oz, maybe even 24. They we're test cans and were never filled. The ones I have seen over the years (4) have been air filled except for mine which was never lidded.

I bought mine off of eBay about 15 years ago. It was listed as a buy it now so I grabbed it immediately. It's the only one I've ever seen available for sale.

My only other small can is a Jax bank that looks like their mid 50's can. I would like to find one of those Regal small banks like Leon showed above.

It’s become more that obvious that we have a good number of small can collectors out there. Whether they have small side collections or really serious niche collections, these small cans deserve a lot more respect than is generally shown to them.

I said earlier that if you’ve got some smalls that you’re not displaying, stored in a box somewhere, there are folks out there that are looking to add smalls to their collections whether as a primary focus or secondary focus. If you’re considering unloading them, there are those of us out there looking for them.

I wanted to see the difference between the two Olympia cans so I put them together in this picture.

Thanks everyone for the input!

Glad to see this thread is getting some interest. Ok - my question is which is tuffer the Canadian Ace Malt Liquior with the tall ML letters or the squat ML letters? I have only seen 1 of the tall ML versions for sale next to 5 or 6 of the squat ML versions. Thinking about on grade examples only? Any ideas.

Can’t help myself on this thread! Small can addiction. Does anyone have any of the 7oz County Clubs on grade? Would love to see pics of any different ones than these 2. The 8oz can is pictured for perspective.

Halfquart, you provided a great shot of the tall letter Canadian Ace. It looks like Rocknchip has a short letter version but I can’t access it because it’s in that photobucket stuff. So I borrowed the short letter version pic off the supplement to show what you’re referring to.

Never saw that small Regal before. Anyone have any more pictures of it?

Thanks to all for an interesting thread and some interesting cans that don't get the attention they deserve.
