Found this in Randy's BMV program. I wonder if these still exist as described or have they been moved or maybe even discarded.

Re: Can Anyone Check This Out?
Just did a google search of the address and 2000 Westhall is the address for Valspar Corp, Packaging Coatings Group. Google Earth only shows 2098 Westhall. The prison is across the street. Valspar may or may not still be there as what little information is from third party business websites.

Re: Can Anyone Check This Out?
The Valspar Packaging website has a location at 2001 Tracy St in Pittsburgh which is the other end of the block from Westhall. Google Earth shows the building which looks modern, so it looks like the 1970s buildings are gone and most likely the Krueger cans are also long gone, perhaps sold to a BCCA member at some point long ago. Valspar's phone number is 412 766 9300, if someone wants to call them.

Re: Can Anyone Check This Out?
The article mentions that the Swedish Three Towns was the first beer can sold in Europe after WWII. That would be interesting to know if true. There are a couple of versions of what is thought to be the first Swedish can "THREE TOWNS BEER" - one with a CCC59 canning symbol and another with the older PLM symbol. The current consensus is that the Three Towns date to 1955. There are German cans dated to about 1951, Swiss to about 1952, and French to about 1954.
The first non-US can is understood to be the welsh Felinfoel Brewing Co. Ltd. Pale Ale 9 2/3oz cone from 1935. The Dutch have cones that are thought to be from 1937. There are some indications of pre-war cans from Germany, France, and Denmark - but they may be only test cans.
If of interest, I have a Tecate with a 1948 canning symbol, and have seen a Tecate Import with a 1947 canning symbol. Canada's Black Horse Ale cone known from 1948. Venezuela had beer cans by about 1951.
