Flea market wall find

#1

Post by Jay »

I picked these up at a flea market in Demming New Mexico last week. The guy who had them told me he found them when tearing out a wall in his kitchen. Not the toughest cans, but at least they weren’t Coors. The price was very reasonable.

I though it was odd too. They all have the exact same opener pattern. Maybe they were drank during the label transition.

I see three variations there. The contents verbiage on the second can from the left matches the last two on the right, even though it is the version with the glass and not the mug.

By the contents verbiage differences, I assume you mean two things: size of font, and that the 5 is upright in cans 1 and 3 and slanted in cans 2, 4, 5.
Correct? So, if so, three different varieties, although the third variety is fairly minute.

And, I would be interested in one if they are available

Cans 1 & 3 are 227-8; can 2 is 227-9. Interesting five-pack. My thought is that he should rip out some more walls.
