Jic Jac Cone Tops
I need help. Between about 1975 and 1985 I dug up at least a dozen of these in the Ozarks at about 5 different dumps. Orange, Grape, Root Beer, and I think Cola too. Some were in pretty nice grade 2-ish shape. During the late 80s or early 90s, I chose to get rid of my soda dumpers, a decision that I began regretting about ten years ago as the dumping harvest began to decline. I've realized that all those cans I used to think "Oh, I'll find a better one someday." Well, that probably isn't going to happen.
Back to the Jic Jac cones.... I am trying to re-acquire a collection of each flavor. The can pictured below is my first success, and it came from our own Mr. Neil K. I believe that this may be one of the cans that I actually found at Meramec State Park in the 70s!
To the point: If you have a Jic Jac cone top, or know anyone who does, in about the shape or better than the Root Beer shown below, any flavor, I would like to talk you out of it. I'll even trade beer cans off the shelf if necessary. Thanks for any assistance in the quest! -John

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
That's a tough can in that shape or any shape. I had one a few years ago but think I sold it on ebay years ago. You don't see them to often. LEON.

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
John - all the Jic Jacs are in dumper shape. I've never actually seen an indoor copy, although obviously one must exist given the photos in the soda book. Matt

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
These on grade ones were on eBay a few years back. I was a distant third. They went for around $3k. And that was when soda cans were selling cheap too.

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
I remember seeing a set of ongrade Jic Jac on the auction. I don't remember which one, Showtime or Morphy Auction. I don't remember when did they have it. I think it was 5- 10 years ago???

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
I remember digging Jic Jac cones occasionally 20-25 years ago. I always just threw them in my dollar boxes because they were just soda cans. Wish I had those back.

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
I was second on the bidding for these - there were two more cans in a different lot. Amazing find!
I collect one flavor of rare soda can generations. Also publish Collectible Soda Cans - don't hesitate to contact me with cans you have available or questions about old soda cans.

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
No, both went to another collector from the northeast. Neither of us were aware the other was bidding until after the lots sold. DT

Re: Jic Jac Cone Tops
John, I still have a nasty Jic Jac Ginger Ale that Tony Stice dug when you showed us the school dump down at the Ozarks. It was the time that you and I dug the huge soda can dump. Fun times.
