I got one also. I went to the bottom of the email and selected unsubscribe, opened new page and said I have successfully unsubscribed.

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts
Keith,
I tend to go with Danny's assumption that it might be the BCCA Roster they're using. Looking through the posts so far, everyone is a BCCA member. Baxter and I are not currently active RB members. So, unless they're using some older RB Roster, I would lean towards the BCCA Roster as was stated earlier.

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts
All.....Looks like it was the BCCA roster. Great to know that the RB roster was not used.......HOWEVER be prudent whenever you get an e-mail like that. Phishers have become more and more sophisticated. They might work to use anything they know as a hobby and known interest of yours to try and exploit you.....We have raised our concerns to the BCCA.....

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts
Nope, some not on FB at all, it's a BCCA roster/mass email theft.

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts Bulk e-mail sent to BCCA roster
So I was feeling a little left out: I never received the email about the beer shirts, and I am in the roster (sarcasm).....
When low and behold, yesterday late afternoon one of those lovely invitations showed up in my email box.
The question then becomes, are they still doing it, or did my invitation just get "lost in the mail" for a week or so?

@stringsx24now Not sure what might have caused yours to be delayed but after the 2d e-mail blast Charlie Smith, BCCA President gave them (Vintage Beer Shirts) a cease and desist order....I started another thread to get that word out http://www.therustybunch.com/phpBB3/vie ... =1&t=44053

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts Bulk e-mail sent to BCCA roster
I don't understand why their email bothers you guys. This isn't typical spam; they're selling a specialty product that many of us would probably be interested in. It sounds like they only sent one email and their 'unsubscribe' feature works fine.

One Word........Phishing......That is the type of attack that is used to focus on something the recipient will likely have an extreme interest in and therefore likely to click on something that draws their interest just like you indicated...Sadly not everybody is computer suave so using a unauthorized roster to such an focused audience should not be allowed...
Did you know what you were clicking on when you went to unsubscribe? Not everybody would.....

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts Bulk e-mail sent to BCCA roster
Yes I don't have the email anymore and maybe I am wrong but I didn't see anything for sale, they wanted you to join and presumably provide confidential info to do so. Plus they listed "retired" shirts like they have been around for years but none of us have ever heard of it before. I guess all it takes is joining the BCCA to get roster access, just like joining here.
Edit: just did a search for beer shirts on google and found the site near the top of the list, too bad they don't sell them individually

Re: Vintage Beer Shirts Bulk e-mail sent to BCCA roster
Thanks to all the publicity that we are giving them here, I went to their website and Facebook page, to check it out. Looks like a t-shirt of the month club with public domain beer brands. The Croft Stock Ale looks nice.
Anyhow, I don't need a different t-shirt every month, so I didn't join up.
I can see where they used the BCCA roster book to acquire all the email addresses, then went ahead and used it without asking first or providing some free samples to the PTBs, so thats not cool.
Like everything on the internet, do what you are comfortable with and delete all the rest.
