Nice stuff guys, Here's some vintage Canadian glasses, most are etched. Personally, I can't recall ever seeing a vintage Canadian stemware beer glass.
these are all from our west coast province B.C.

2 from Ontario, 1 from Manitoba and 3 from B.C.

the top right one must have a light etching as it doesn't photograph well, zoom in on it and one can make it out

This mug is etched and has silver inlay.

I acquired this etched stein off the internet numerous years back believing it was from the local brewery which operated from 1840 to 1936 here in Ontario. Once I received it I started checking with some of the local senior collectors and they seemed a bit skeptical that it was Canadian as they couldn't recall seeing a label for the "Special Brew" brand.

Does anyone recognize this as a local piece?

I believe Coonts....I can't find any reference to the "R" in the "The Directory of Canadian breweries past and present" either.

Here are some of my trays from the Canadian brewer Kuntz who was in operation from 1840 through 1936 when it was bought out by Carling.
Office_Wall.jpg
When I acquired the stein I believed it was from this Canadian brewery but the confusing issue is that I can find no reference to "R Kuntz Co." which I think the lid indicates.
Here's what my research on the Canadian brewer, David Kuntz from 1840-1872, in 1872 when David passed away the brewery was taken over by his son Louie untill 1910. At this point it was taken over by David C Kuntz till 1916 and then William A Kuntz ran it untill 1936 when Carling took it over.

sorry Steve- I didn't intend to hi-Jack your post..
