There were no caps shown in the craigslist photos.

Re: Billings Tap cone find
The cans have been purchased from the contractor who discovered them and will be available soon. They were recently found in an attic among blown insulation in Portland, Oregon during a remodel. Amazing that they were not Olympia's or something equally common. Here's a better photo of one of them without any further cleaning. High resolution photos do an excellent job of magnifying every tiny little flaw as they are in fantastic condition overall.

Re: Billings Tap cone find
This eBay can is not part of the find.
My guess is the seller heard about the find and wanted to get his can out in front before the others hit the market.
Or, could just be a coincidence.

Re: Billings Tap cone find
Seller is smart to get it out there before the prices start coming down!

Re: Billings Tap cone find
One of the surprising things for me since I got back in the hobby is the amount of indoor finds there still are, I guess I thought the years would take their toll even on hidden cans or that there were just less cans remaining out there to be found. 17 nice cans like this surely will have a big impact on how tough this can is going forward. I think I saw a lamp built with a few of these sold on ebay in the last year as well. Still waiting for those Royal Finest's to fall out of a wall in the Philippines.

It's the full size (as I clipped it). If you click on the picture, it should open a new window and as you place the mouse cursor over the picture, the cursor should change to a plus sign indicating that it can be enlarged. I'm describing what should happen on a computer/laptop etc. I don't have a clue as to what happens when it's viewed on a phone. (I only use my phone for making calls.) Here's a screen capture of the image on my laptop (17" screen) when clicked on and then enlarged.
