Finally downgraded !
Bob and I dug a couple Mule Head Ales last spring. Now I can put this "I dug it version" on the shelf and sell my shiny one.
Anyone else ever downgrade a can because they found it ?
Check Ebay if you are interested.

Re: Finally downgraded !
The Mule. A mule is produced when you breed a male donkey to a female horse, also known as a mare. A "hinny," meanwhile, is produced when you breed a stallion, or male horse, to a female donkey. Mules possess characteristics of both of their parents but are typically sterile and unable to reproduce.

Perhaps that is why they are so rare ?
Post your Finally Downgraded examples here as you acquire them ....... regardless of breed ! I will add another from our spring trip.

Re: Finally downgraded !
The Pony on the left does look to be printed with heavier ink. You're right, it may just be the angle, but from the pic, the lines do look thicker on the Zebra's face. Probably just a factory, day it was made type variation more than anything, but curious.
Never-the-less, I've always liked those Okapi cans.

Re: Finally downgraded !
Hey Marc, you may be on to something there, I always wondered why they didn't call it Horse Head Ale. After taking a few measurements I see it is just the angle of the picture and the lens creating the different look.I think that "horse" is a mule . . .
As far as the original topic, most of my collection is dollar or under cans, so usually when I find something worth bringing home and cleaning, it is an upgrade. If it isn't an upgrade, I generally don't put it in the collection . I do take pictures of what I find, so that's good enough for me.

Yes, I've downgraded a couple times. The Lion Ale I dug last spring is on my self now. It came out so nice I kept it and stuck my shelver in my tote.
