Is this common?

Don't know if I can honestly answer the question: is it common or not? But let's deduce.....
First, the top indicates a can from at least the mid 1970's, and the two holes in the bottom indicates a collector or potential collector emptied the contents. I don't know of any reason to open a can like this besides for the can itself. You found it outside in the elements, meaning it was discarded at one point, probably indicating that either it had no value to the collector/saver, or a non-collector got ahold of it (mom!) and threw it away.
So, unless someone can chime in who actually knows what they are talking about, especially referring to the two language aspect, I am deducing that it is a common-ish can.

The other side is French as opposed to German. Most likely made for import into Canada. I collect NJ cans and didn't have one of these cans until a couple of years ago. So while it is scarce, it has little value since very few collectors who would want this can don't already have one.

It is a pretty common late 70's / early 80's can. The reverse is in French, which was done on other malt beverage cans at that time. More than likely, the cans were sold in the US and Canada. Because one full side is in French, I'm guessing it was sold in Quebec.

Black label is late 50’s to early 1962. Common. Can you read where it’s brewed at?
