Re: Cool Blitz Fog quart can
Looks too metallic to me, but hey, might as well try.
Has anybody found cans under twist-off cones?

Re: Cool Blitz Fog quart can
That's a screw cap top, correct?
I kinda doubt anything under it though.
Still a very cool can....I would keep it just the way it is.

Re: Cool Blitz Fog quart can
Being Concaved bottom & ribs on the spout I would think it's a possibility, despite the screw cap, I've seen other screw caps & flat bottoms & metallic cans turn out to be real beer cans under them but highly unlikely. Go for it. LEON.

Thanks for all the great feedback. Think will leave as is, like the color and interesting wording.

Re: Cool Blitz Fog quart can
With the chemical soup of well known carcinogens present in that can, I wouldn't even be handling it with bare hands. I definitely wouldn't wash it anywhere near my property or put it on a shelf that had any air movement like ventilation vents near it. That is how poisonous that stuff in the can was and may remain. Though first produced in the late 1940's they still are potentially poisonous decades later. With 20-30 year half-lifes, any residues may degraded at this point, but I wouldn't play the odds on that. Just sayin'......

“Kill mosquitoes with your power mower”
Would love to have been in that marketing meeting thinking up a slogan.
I wonder what the slogans were they tossed out before arriving at that one.
I imagine it’s a tough cab to photograph but would love to get a slightly above shot of it with the can setting on a table.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Re: Cool Blitz Fog quart can
It's a Continental can late 40's early 50's. So probably not an over paint as almost all of those were Crown quarts. Cool can - keep as is.
