Michigan collection to check out

#1

Post by beercanman »

Anyone near Luzerne/Mio area? I checked the map and it is about 20 miles east of 75, at about the same latitude as Traverse City. I have a lead if someone is close enough and doesn't mind the possibility of striking out.

That's an easy drive for Clayton.

@thatsus02

Oops! I just checked. It's actually about a 90 minute drive but it could still work out.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

I've dumped in that area a few times, There is a CCC Camp just outside of town. I bought some cans off a guy on ebay a few years ago & he was from the Luzerne area. I'm guessing it's the same guy. LEON.

Has anyone seen pix? I won't even consider driving to a collection without at least a few pix. Too much Billy, J.R., Harley Davidson, Worlds Fair, etc. stuff out there to not at least get an idea if it's worth the time/trouble. Please note: this lead is WAY too far for me, just saying' re: the photo's. :smile:

I have a poor photo from a bad angle that shows 1/2 the collection. I didn't see anything exciting, but since there's always the chance of a needle in a haystack, I didn't give up on this lead. That is why I wanted to find someone close. Nobody wants to drive 100's of miles and get skunked (trust me, I've been there)!
