Sometimes it pays to look.........
Yes...pun intended.....Ever get one of those cans and you hear some clunking inside and think "damn there is some stuff in there".....yeah sometimes it might be somebody's drug stash....I'll mention no names there but.....well in this case I was hoping for a one off Krueger Lilek 461 or 464 since only the front photo was provided....sadly it was not but then I heard the clanking.......and to my surprise I got back nearly half of what I spent on the can...

Re: Sometimes it pays to look.........
One time I was at an auction and bought a box of baby jars and such filled with nuts, bolts, and so forth. I got home and started sorting and found a jar full of money. I think it was only around $40 but it paid for my day.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Another source for possible cash is books, we were given a Huge (probably 8" high) dictionary. I leafed through it and I got 7 $20.00 bills out of it.

I prolly shouldn't tell the world this, but I have several "topless" cans in my possession. I hide all kinda stuff in them. One can currently has eight pieces of paper hidden inside. Each piece is identical. they all have pix of Benjamin Franklin on them. In the past, I had over $2k hidden in their

Re: Sometimes it pays to look.........
Bought a used camera bag at a thrift shop last spring for a couple bucks, when i got around to putting my camera in it I found a couple of batteries and a lens guard in the pockets, then i saw a zipper at the back inside and checked it... started pulling out bills, first three $10s and then two $100s. Latest date 2006. Apparently somebody used it for their wallet on a hike and forgot, must have been well off enough they never missed it.
I'm constantly finding good cans... in my mailbox. *** My third year of waging Schlitzkrieg on the Flint Hills of Kansas ***

I couldn't find anything more specific but the newest bill shown is the top $1 with the letter H.
Part of the 1977A Series, these were printed between October 1979 and September 1981.
