First rate experience all around. Hotel was excellent, hotel staff was excellent, great time as always. Staff did a great job keeping things organized even with all the construction so we could get in and out, and load and unload our cans. Plenty to do in walking distance and plenty of good restaurant choices. Thanks to everyone involved for an outstanding show!

All thing considered, it was awesome. I think room-to-room was light, considering the hotel layout was perfect for it. Great food near the hotel. Great hospitality.

I would rate the show an A grade. Hotel was nice. Staff at hotel was great. The convention center was big and very comfortable for the show. There was a good selection of cans to peruse at the show. I picked up some nice additions to the collection. Downtown location was great. My son and I took in an Indians game and travelled 1 hour to Pro Football HOF. Was a cool trip.

We had a great time. The only way it could have been better was if the Browns were playing at home. Our view from our room was of Browns stadium, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Lake Erie. Spectacular! All were walking distance. We also walked to an Indians game, the Jack Casino, and down to "the flats" to Margaritaville. I grew up in the area but never appreciated the beautiful architecture of Cleveland. The hotel could not be better located. If visiting Cleveland, I would recommend staying there. I have only been to 2 Canventions (Milwaukee) so I can't compare to others but we had a awesome time!

Good point. Even if people did not have time to see a show, I hope they had a chance to look at some of the historic theaters Cleveland has downtown. They are beautifully restored.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Got out on Thursday to the Christmas Story house/museum/tour, then grabbed a great lunch at a deli close to the hotel. It was a cool little side adventure. As for the show itself, I agree that the room-to-room seemed light, but the trade floor was great. Well lit, spacious, convenient little restsurant and facilities right there and accessible, and all of it in easy striking distance of the hotel elevators. Micro night was kicking pretty hard, the after-meeting party in the RB ballroom was a blast with music and a great turnout. The hotel itself was excellent and the room rates (my opinion) were phenomenal. Killer breakfast buffet in the 2nd floor restaurant, nice attentive staff. I had zero complaints.

Yes, excellent facilities all around. Very Good convention. Got to Art Museum (excellent) and Botanical gardens (ok), and ball game before the festivities really kicked off, then the National Park just south of the city at the end of the convention. Had a great time. I would go back anytime. Was pleasantly surprised by Cleveland overall. Really good set up. BCCA convention people (committee + locals) really hit a home run!
I agree room to room was not as intense as other times.

yes, everything was great, the hotel, attendance, downtown area...but one thing...

I WAS CHARGE $116.64 FOR VALET PARKING. I was not aware of this charge, seems very excessive. Was everyone charged for that?

The BCCA rate was $15 per day for the mandatory valet parking. Talk to someone.

The normal rate was like $30/$35 per day. $38 and change with tax or something like that. It seemed like everyone was "accidentally" getting charged the full rate. I mentioned it and they quickly adjusted to $15 flat per day.

That said, hotel was great. Bit of a trek from the rooms to the trade floor, but I least I got plenty of steps in! Craft beer night was off the hook. At least the parts I remember.

Yeah, the hotel and everything else was terrific. I've only been to four Canventions, but this one was easily the best of the bunch. Kudos to Cleveland and to the BCCA for a job very well done.

This was my 7th in a row. all heave been increasingly more enjoyable. Its not always the location that makes it better but the chance to meet new collectors, visit new places and drink new beer. Yes this was close for me, only 6 hours away, but I treated it not different than any of the others as I took 4 days to get there and stayed 6 nights in Cleveland. A true total experience as I visited the R and R HOF, a Indians game, a few breweries and all that CANvention had to offer. A Big Thank You to the Lake Erie Chapter, BCCA CANvention Committee, the hotel staff and to all the collectors and people who attended. With the plans for next year being Omaha and i heard that is confirmed make your plans now. This is our big event of the year. Support the opportunity you have to gather with all these great people. See you at a show near you soon or CANvention in Omaha 2018!
