Woodfest 2017 on September 16th in Weymouth Mass!

I want to give a shout out to any of the fellow Rusty Bunch members that might be traveling to the northeast in the month of September. On the 16TH our Pickwick Chapter is having the second annual Woodfest at my home in Weymouth Ma, just south of Boston. Many of the Red Fox members attend this show as well. In and out all day last year we had over 125 members and walk ins from 9AM till the sun went down. Snacks and drinks all day with pizza at noon and a big raffle at 1. Later on in the day the grill comes out for burgers and dogs for those that want to hang out and talk about the hobby! There is a brew Pub right up the street as well. Last year, Dee Landers caught some decent large mouth bass from the pond in the back yard. Very simple to find, just go Rte 3 south to exit 16B. At the second set of lights take a left(Park st) and at your first set of lights take a left(Pleasant st) and my house is a couple miles down on the right. 1273 Pleasant st Weymouth Ma, 02189. About every time I've come to one of these shows (it used to be Keith's show in Haverhill for years) there's been a fine collection blowout and/or mountains of fresh killer cans from all the guys up theyuh who turn up so much stuff from outside the hobby. Then Pescaro unloads all his Pepperidge Farms snacks, somebody has a potluck, the beer is solid craft stuff without any of the Sauerkraut Pumpkin Wheat Decaf Black Pale Ale or Bud Light that you see elsewhere. Killer raffles, too. Somebody's gotta stand on a rock and talk loud, though, for it to feel real.

I don't fish much, but I'd rather be in Woody's barn any day.

We are just around the corner from Woodfest 2017, and the excitement is in the air. I'm once again looking toward your hospitality, and being your 2nd hosting over last years great show I expect even more action. Beyond our regular show activity you draw in huge numbers of general public which not only expanded our ranks, and encourages new collectors, but collectors that are interested in all areas from neons, mirrors, glasses to your common Harley, Schlitz cans.
I will be there, and I'll bring some beer. If any Rusty Bunch members are around I recommend this show: good time, nice beer, great collection, and the best of hosts. Tell your friends.

Woody- Still hurting from the broken ankle. Was hoping to make it but can't drive the three hours each way as of yet.
