Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Leon, you are correct.....the can on the left is the one you gave me. It's worth $100....
You sold it to the wrong guy cuz $100 on a can is usually way over my limit. I must have had a couple of beers in me.

YES, That's the fine can I sold you cheap. The best looking red Miller on your shelf. I bet $100 is most you ever paid for any can. Send me a case of those Bosch & we'll call it even.

I don't know who is buying up all of the black and red Millers but they are paying way too much. Miller didn't do anything in small quantities so grade 1 Millers are going to keep popping up and should go for A LOT less than what ebayers are paying.
I picked up a really nice red Miller for $100 from some dude in Detroit.......
YES, I know that Dude from Detroit. And that was the tougher Variation you stole for $100. And you thought I was Crazy when I told you I frequently see the more common Red Miller get $300+.
Is the 82 Year Variation Tougher than the 80 Year Can??....I don't have the OI Book.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
OK....just posted an auction to the Reference page for a Mule Head Beer.....that does NOT have an OI panel(s). Can't find it in the USBC either. Not being a generic flat top expert......is this completely undocumented until today? Is this a known can but just got overlooked when the pictures were taken? Clearly not your typical ditto do-dad. Just curious as to what is happening.....pulled down a nice payday for the seller. Take a look at it here:

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Rand,
That Mule Head Beer is a scarce variation and actually predates the instructional can. There's a matching Mule Head Ale also, and the Cab Cream Ales must date from right about the same time because they're all 'Patents Pending' and non-instructional. It would appear that Wehle decided to eschew the instructions and then changed their mind.

Yeah that Clipper has been touched up, I would have expected it to go in the $100-200 range. I read somewhere here that those Clipper cones aren't THAT rare and there are about a dozen or so on grade examples known.

FYI:
Many don't know but there are 2 variations of the Clipper LP.
It's just a back panel variation.....2 different N.Y. distributors.

Thanks Marc! Side note....always wondered why the Cab cans didn't have OI panels.....guess it was bound up in the same decision making process but never made the transition along with the mules.mtracy64 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2017 11:27 am Rand,

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Yeah, the Clipper cone has to be the most common $20,000+ can in the hobby . . .ConeAddict wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2017 12:26 pm Yeah that Clipper has been touched up, I would have expected it to go in the $100-200 range. I read somewhere here that those Clipper cones aren't THAT rare and there are about a dozen or so on grade examples known.

I remember I had a similar condition Clipper cone many years ago minus all the touch up. Think I wanted $400. A guy said he was Interested & to send him pics. I sent him pics & responded all pissed off saying it was a dumper & for $400 he was expecting to be a mint 1+ can. Can you believe that assclown. LEON.

National Cartoon can sold $137. Is this can different than others I’ve seen?
