Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Canadians are serious about beer and fishing. That auction was almost the perfect storm. The only thing that could have made it better is if the beer can had been a Stanley Cup commemorative can. Then, the auction would have hit six figures easy.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
These small pool balls are surprisingly cheap.hover31 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 09, 2019 9:45 am Hi Jack!
Monster- I could make some pool ball spinner type lures just like the ones you have pictured. I make musky bucktails- just need some small pool balls to drill out. I have the old table top spring loaded cue stick game, perfect sized balls for this project! Muskie Dan had a decent following and made some nice stuff, but these do not showcase his talent. I think he stopped making lures about 5years ago. Ziphippie

High quality too! I have a set of them and have considered getting another just to mess with. I have a nice drill press but no way to secure the balls for drilling (that just sounds wrong...too much like the marching song of neo-third-wave-feminism). I'm assuming that diamond drill bits would be the way to go. Any old, expendable lures I have are on the smallish side. Ain't no muskys around here, just great stream fishing for brookies and cheese-ball trout and decent lake fishing for the typical lot.
Also, if you're interested in making a proposition on working something like these out, pm me. I don't have much of worth for trade aside from my stunningly handsome looks, charming wit and super-hero physique...but all of that may not be of any worth here

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Thought I’d post the billiard ball lures I made for Monster in case anybody else might want some- or something like it. I’m not asking anywhere near $450.
I could see one of those 2” mini-beer cans from China that are filled with toxic waste on a musky bait.
I will not do bottle cap lures- Ziphippie

How much for an '8-Ball' with chartreuse bucktail? I'd like to try to catch a fish with one of your billiard balls. I bet they cast a mile!!!!!Monster wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 11:13 amDuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude...hover31 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 2:39 am Thought I’d post the billiard ball lures I made for Monster in case anybody else might want some- or something like it. Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
They're cool, aren't they? Your question is more for Ziphippie than me. He's the maker. If I were to try and fish with something this size in the waters around here, I'd simply need to scoop the fish from the surface as they'd be concussed by the impact of lure upon surface...the treble wouldn't even be at issue.jomama wrote: ↑Thu Feb 14, 2019 3:27 pmHow much for an '8-Ball' with chartreuse bucktail? Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
I like the idea, here’s a mock up. I have chartreuse and many painted blades. I could order a single mini-8eight ball for $10 or an entire set for $12 delivered off theBay- because of this, one 8 ball lure would be $15. Ziphippie

L@@ks great ... I'd like a single chartreuse Indiana blade if you have them. If not, that Colorado would be good. Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Unless I'm missing something, the price on this Schlitz cone seems to have gone for about a $600 premium over a normal price.
I know this can is tough to find without humidity, but really? Some odd variation?
All I can say is: Good for the seller. Hope he actually gets paid.

That's insane for a $100 can. Looking at the bidders list looks like only 2 clueless clowns were bidding it up that high. LEON.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Even the cap was dented... I dumped that can at blue-gray 12 years ago or so + Jim Dixon drank it (The beer looked fresh!) . Sold it for $50 because I had a better one at home. both were nicer than the one pictured from ebay.Leon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 16, 2019 2:03 am That's insane for a $100 can. Only two bidders took it past $77.
As a seller, kinda scares me when a bidder with only 5 feedbacks goes that nuts.
Still a $100 can, see what happens when the next shiny Schlitz comes up for bid.

Guess it's a good day when you take a can you've had at countless shows, unsold, and then get double your asking on Ebay.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
I enjoy looking thru Ebay. When it comes to winning a can... well I seem to bid 1/2 of what it goes for. It's kinda funny. I bid $85 on a cone with visual issues and then it sold for $160. LOL Being a realist I understand my cheapness, however when a auction gets yanked in the last hour... I really don't like that..
My 2 cents,
Jack L. #617
P.S. That's why going to a show is good for my collection.

Remember that next time you buy from us. You are getting a good deal!OhioCanGuy wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 7:35 am BeerCansPlus sold this can on Ebay for $128, with a $60 price sticker on the bottom.
Guess it's a good day when you take a can you've had at countless shows, unsold, and then get double your asking on Ebay.

Thank you!
Now that double thing... I'm thinking 65% makes more sense. LOL!!

I could order a single mini-8eight ball for $10 or an entire set for $12 delivered off theBay- because of this, one 8 ball lure would be $15. Ziphippie3E296AD5-A285-47B2-A5D7-219156B4283E.jpeg

Hard to say.....with a super tiny graphic and zero links to the original auction, can't look it up to see if it's a rare variation. WF? Who knows? Can't tell from this.Brent Gesland wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 12:13 am Miller OI in great condition...Sold for $670.00 w/32 bids...Seems a little high as there are lots of these cans around..Am I missing something
