Hey Bjorn,

I was at the Canvention with a buddy who lives in Memphis, TN and who had an Esslinger's Bock quart at the time. We saw Dick walking around with his, so my buddy went home and got his can. So, I have a couple photos of the two cans together. They're 4" x 6" prints, the lighting was poor and the flash was too bright. The photos aren't much too look at, but they're good enough to identify your can as Dick's old can.

I'd like to check out his J-Spouts myself. I'm going to be in Rockford, IL with work some this winter, so I may have to make a run up to the Dells and have a look.

Great pics! Is there a contact for the quarts in the display cases for sale? Looking at the Kaiers quart.

I have 2 of the 5 known upside down quarts. I'd be intetested in joining but getting more quarts for my collection has proven to be difficult (read borderline impossible).

I remember years ago when I told Marc that I didn't collect quarts. He asked me how many I had to which I replied "88". Marc laughed "then you collect quarts!" Sadly I only have 25 or so now.

It's amazing how you guys can track a can over the years, decades in fact- simply amazing! Thank you for the pic. I will try to get back to Dells this week to update the photos. I'm happy to oblige, and I apologize for being slow about it. It was just one of those fluke things - we saw a guy walking around with an Esslinger's Bock quart and struck up a conversation with him. My buddy lives in Memphis, so he went home and got his can to show it to Dick. None of us had seen more than one, so we all thought it was a big deal. I was sure that was Dick's can you had as soon as I saw it, and I thought that might be a big deal too. I like to know provenance on my cans whenever possible, especially on something so exquisite. You must have been speechless to find that one the way you did!
