Mog Mog and beer WWII

#1

Post by roy »

Pictures of LOVELY MOG MOG in WWII. It was a major fleet anchorage as can be seen. Now the lower enlisted men were allowed on shore about 15,000 at a time were then were permitted 2 or 3 cans or bottles (websites give different numbers) of lukewarm beer. The oppressed enlisted men were allowed usually 3-4 hours before they had to return to their ships. Enlisted men NOT including CPO's drank under the palm trees or in the ocean! Now the ring knockers and their ilk not only had "clubs" but got as much COLD beer as they could swill along with liquor (which was NOT allowed to enlisted men) that figures!!!!
The absolute worst was all nurses and female "Entertainers" were taken DIRECTLY to the officers area! Most Navy enlisted men never knew American females were ever on Mog Mog!
Typical military BS! roy former Spec. 4 1/5th Mech. lovely Southeast Asia 1969-70 with an horrendous MOS of 11 Bravo!

Scott Field and I think that is a Hudepohl that the enlisted man is drinking. Oh about 250,000,000 beers (cans - bottles) or so were drank on Mog Mog. roy
