I think I got a good deal?

#1

Post by JohnLi67 »

I picked up this can from an eBay auction the other day for a "Buy it Now" price of $65. The can is in pretty nice indoor shape. The red color is a little faded and there are a few spots on the can, but overall I would grade it a solid Grade 1 can. The can has shiny lids, and is the tougher version (without the word "Private" Club) from Fox Head Brewing (Waukesha, WI). I think the seller was an antique seller that did not specialize in Beer Cans.

How do you think I did? Any guesses on what this can would go for at a show or from a dealer.

Thanks, John

Tough can. I'd have done it. I need an upgrade.

Don't know what that can would sell for in that condition, but at $65 I think you got a great deal--not many of these around!

I have never seen it, so I would say you got a very good deal.

From what I've seen, ongrade cans WITH the "Private" on the label for for $80-$90.

The only comp I could find for one without is below. If that sale is even remotely representative... I'd say yes, you got a screaming deal on the can! Contrats!!

Agree!

I wonder if anyone passed on it before you thinking it was the "Private" version. Not being a Wisconsin guy, it took me a minute to figure out what the fuss was about. Nice score! :smt023

Leave it to Ted to put a grand on it. It's a tough can, but.... John, yes you got a very good deal on it. I figure it's a 350-400 can.
