New Aquisition friday

#1

Post by Hotrodder »

A big shout out of thanks to fellow RBer Rick Kottemann, he walked over to my desk this morning and gave me a package full of natty boh cans and a bottle! he knows I collect the brand and picked them up at the Swaparama recently.

Thanks!

Worked out the deal Friday and the can arrived today. An offgrade Ballantine's yes, but it's the first one.

Thanks, Paul. I don't regret selling off most of my flats to fund J-Spouts, but I'm having a lot of fun chasing the early flats again.

It's not Friday but I did get something great today. I am a low budget collector. I have seen labels like this twice that I recall over the last three years since I returned to collecting but my bids were never even close to the winning bid. Thankfully, everyone must have been grilling when this auction ended because I got a great deal on it. Sometimes it pays to bid even when you are sure you will not be the winner.

Here are a couple things i picked up recently. This year I've been taking it easy. Last year I was in a manic beer can acquisition mode and this year is a "reflecting" year. Hahaha

Regardless, it's hard to pass up in tough cans and neat breweriana

I got a few other things, but these were "in my face" when I opened up the beer can display case

Cheers

I just got this can in the mail from Art LaComb. Something about it looked familiar so I found a photo of my IRTP Coors cans that I had back in 2007 and it turned out this was the same can I had back then. I got this can in 2006 after I put an ad buying old beer cans in a local grocery store and this can and a couple of other nice IRTP flats came out of the woodwork. Pretty cool that it has come back home. There is a small blemish under the "R" in Beer that shows this is the same can.

Love those Coors flats. Very tough to find the whole set in top grade like you have. Nice accomplishment. Now the search for the red lettered can with the Banquet symbol can start.

That is sweet!

I like the combo of having the fenders over all four wheels but still having a totally exposed engine.

Very, very nice.
