My Shiner Show Take

#1

Post by Longhorn Mike »

Here is my take from the Shiner Show. Just like last year, it was heavy with New Orleans items.

I have that smaller Jax sign to the right in the first picture hanging in my den. Some very nice Jax signs there, and that Regal can is gorgeous. One face or two?

The Regal can has one face but has different writing on the reverse than the one-faced Regal I already have, so it is a new can for me.

There was a ton of nice Jax stuff at the show this year. Nice lighted signs, an aquarium sign, cardboard signs, a rotating barrel sign, cans, bottles, etc.

Different writing on the reverse? This I'd like to see! Didn't know there was another variation of this can to watch for.

Dave, here are the two sides.

Does the two-sided can actually exist? I have never seen one. Somebody mentioned that they thought it was a mistake in the Book.

Not sure if the two-sided can actually exists. Will have to check my cans.

thanks for posting the two different backs. I think mine is the print on the left- that looks familiar.

The print version is more common in my experience. I have never seen a two sided white Regal can with the prince.

USBC lists a two-faced white Regal. Must be one out there somewhere. Haven't seen very many of these cans myself in quite a while (don't watch them as closely, honestly, because nice ones are way over my budget). Both of the ones I have are one faced with print. Guess there's two of them I need to be watching for now.
