Best's Hapsburg variation on ebay

Glad to see this sleeper got the respect it deserved. I'd liked to have snagged this to upgrade mine, but it got too pricey for me. Anybody on here get it?

Hey Bob - I almost spit my beer out with surprise when I saw this one on ebay. I kinda thought the cat was out of the bag when the price went up from about $50 to $150 with a day or so to go. Agree ending at $661 does show a lot of respect. I would not have been surprised to see it go higher given there are 24 of the WF version and only 2 of these (yours and this ebay one). The WF routinely went for $400 4-5 years ago, but those do have the cachet of falling into that niche...
Not sure who got the can.

I know of five of them counting this one, and I'm sure there are some more out there, but definitely 100 times tougher than the regular patents pending version.

Awesome can! How many ongrade high sheen "metallic silver" are there of the 1941 variation? I've seen a couple but they have been dumpers. Also have only seen a few of the 50's OI out there ongrade.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Okay, my books and cans are all still in storage from our move. What makes this can special?
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.
