Re: Golden Age Beer on MeTV
I have never seen a rocket bottom prop can before.
Quincy, M.E. (medical examiner) was a great show. Quincy was the CSI of the 70's.

Re: Golden Age Beer on MeTV
I will never forget the episode where Quincy (or mostly his assistant Sam, who did most of the actual work in a lot of episodes) found two human hairs on the back of a front seat of a car, and from those pretty much reconstructed a composite drawing of the murderer ...Longhorn Mike wrote: Quincy, M.E. Jim Rockford drinks beer and drives a pooch Pontiac! Love him. It's hard to get a pic, his hand was covering the label obviously on purpose- I like the metallic version better, looks like the same prop guy. Bjorn

Re: Golden Age Beer on MeTV and another
Here is the red version from Animal House. This type of prop can was used in hundreds of movies and TV episodes. There is one pictured in the "Exotics" section of the Beer Can Collector's Bible.

Re: Golden Age Beer on MeTV and another
Jim Rockford still drinking plain blue 'BEER' but they're serving Golden Age in the nazi bar. The Golden Age sign looks like it has the paper labels from the can on each end! The 'Miller' looks like it says 'Star'. Bjorn

Re: Golden Age Beer on MeTV and another
I did the cover story in March April 2011 issue of Rustlings about the cans in Flying Leathernecks that included "SAMPSON BEER" as well as OD cans.
It's in the Members Only download section. I can also email you the issue of you want.

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?
