Is it the dude in the black jacket? Its hard to tell from the video, but it looks like he snags something off the table in the middle and strolls out. Looks like a woman is with him observing the whole thing...

The Video is not slanderous. Dan is showing the video and you can make your own opinions from what you see. I would however recommend that you keep your opinions to yourself, what you say maybe slanderous. There is plenty of action being taken with regards to the Collecting world, I don't think we will be seeing him anytime too soon?

Wow is right. Most folks are just having fun and leave their table to visit and look while keeping the away time short. Too bad since 99.6 percent of collectors are trustworthy.

About 10 seconds in...watch the guy in the red coat sitting on the table in the middle right.

If you click on this link you can download the video and watch it full screen.

Edited--- What that had to do with a missing can I have no idea --

Hey, I think I recognize the people in the video, it looks like Oliver Lindsay and Alex Draper in the backround and I believe Mike Opinker sitting on the
table in the red jacket.

Suggesting the video be played with NO comments comes from two others sites I belong for antiques. Their rules basically do not allow any comments at all other than in subject posting the video.

The problem with any of the comments is that they can take any video and make it seem nefarious, when there may be some logical reason for the person doing what they have done. So that nobody gets sued for defamation, it is critical to let the viewers make their own decision.
Since we are in the USA, someone, even in the video is innocent until given a trial.

I have seen numerous times someone taking an item TO the seller from their table because they were at another seller's booth/table. But, not in this case obviously.
I will not make any direct comments but I do agree with the consensus of the group here. Looking left and then right would be what someone does before crossing a street and making sure there are no cars OR when making sure someone does not see them before they take something that is not theirs to take. Let the JURY decide.

I strongly feel that there should be cameras at every show for this type of activity. I would like to see the guy who is using his kid to get cans cheaper and then selling them on Ebay. A video of him would be nice.
Looking for Waukesha beer, water & soda; cans, bottles and signs.

BCCA should financially back Dan IF he decides to take it further. Have the BCCA hire a Lawer on Dan's behalf and start the process of prosecution. It would NEVER make it to court as both sides would settle on an agreement that he NEVER attends a BCCA function or show again. Problem solved. I believe that this is matter that the BCCA should address rather than individuals that will continue to be victims. That is what we pay dues for!

Private parties cannot prosecute criminal cases in the United States. Only District Attorneys can do that and it is in their discretion whether to proceed with a criminal case even if a victim files a criminal charge. It is really time to give this one a rest. Nothing is going to come of this in the sense of criminal charges since the can has been paid for and the money accepted. We all know what happened and we should conduct ourselves accordingly in the future.

Yes that's true. I left an employment situation with 5 bounced uncashable paychecks many years ago. I called the Police about these 5 FELONIES about which I had clear evidence. They told me to call the DA. The DA said, "we don't usually get involved with employment issues, call the labor board".
The Labor Board offered to send me a phone book of forms to fill out but could only recover MINIMUM WAGE for the hours represented by the checks. So I called the DA back and asked what recourse I had. "Hire a lawyer and sue them civily."

Criminals know it's hard to get charges pressed.
