I bought a tote full of foreign cans...any gems here?

Post by BostonBob »

Hi guys,

I bought a tote full of cans off a man on Facebook. Actually two, one full of US cans and one full of foreign. With free shipping, the prices could not be beat and there are some nice cans here. Many of the US cans were dupes for me, but the foreign cans are mostly new labels for me. While I have the USBC Vol II for the US, I have no idea on the foreign cans. Can anyone help here? I am sure many are common, but please let me know if you see any gems.

The Harp is a flat and the Asahi is a zip. The rest appear to be SS tabs, plus a few aluminum. The man had the cans priced with stickers for a show, and he had the mini Zirin Dry at $20 stating it was rare(?). Any thoughts from the foreign can guys? Thanks!

The Canadians are all pretty common...They look nice and clean which is great :smt023 , there are some tougher Heidelberg variations out there...the Skol a Canadan?...one of them is pretty tough.

Thanks for the reply. The Skol appears to be South America - Caracu? The Heidelberg says Toronto, Waterloo Canada.?

I am curious on the Harp flat. Love the color on that one.

I bought the lot because I saw a few cans I wanted, plus I wanted the tote. The whole tote was only $40 shipped, so figure it was a decent deal. Shipping for two totes taped together was $28, so figure once I take off money for shipping and the tote, the price per can was dirt cheap. The other tote had US cans that I paid a little more for.

Nothing too tough among the foreigns. That Harp flat is pretty common, maybe a $5 can. You don't see the Malt 90 too often, but I would still value it at $2-$3 personally. My two cents. You might find success listing them in the new Rusty Bunch auction site!

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think there was anything too rare, but wanted other opinions. I love the Harp flat. The blue color is real nice and has taken a spot on my "favorites" display area. The rest of these foreign cans will probably end up on my garage shelves. Any dupes will end up in my totes for future sales. Unfortunately my "for sale" pile is growing because I like buying much more than selling :)
