Section for "Finds"?

#1

Post by Beercanpete »

The post about OD cans got me to thinking ... one topic that constantly comes up on the site is big finds of certain cans. Many of them were made a generation or more ago, and we rely on our memories to remember who found what, how many, what year, etc. Would there be interest in adding another section titled "Big Finds" or something like that, with each thread a different significant find of a specific can? It might be really useful if we could try to keep that information in one place, so that if someone wanted to know who found all the Loewer's quarts and the details, or something like that, it would be easy to find. Or do we already have all that information collected in one place already?

I like the idea, Matt Menke wrote a whole series of articles for the BCCA Magazine and his information was incredible. A great place to start would be to contact him. :smt024

I always enjoyed Matt's article. In fact that was the first thing I read. Can you just put in the search at the top and it will show all related items?

Pete It really should be in TWO section - Dumpers - Indoor - The mint people for the most part really don't care about dumpers. While the Indoor guys really care about the number found (and why not!) just an idea. roy

Wow, a thought in my mind becomes a whole new thread on the RB site ...

I hope that we might be able to at least take some of our recent posts and move them to this new thread. If I am thinking about one of these finds a month or a year from now it would take some searching to find it--but putting them all in one place should be very useful, and interesting!
