The seller of Schmidt’s contacted me the other day and I passed on it. CAUTION: Looks like tar oozing out the top and he’s not showing pic of back which has the tar dripping down the backside of label.

Got a text while on the train home tonight. A couple pulled the below 4 Pabst zips out of the wall of their house which was built in 1965. All were brewed in Newark and all cans are 4 cities. The book doesn’t show these cans as zips out of Newark! A little odd that only one of the 3 is “No Opener Needed” variation. I took the crushed one in case somebody is interested in acquiring as a donor for top and/or bottom lids?

@Pbama I believe I had read somewhere that Pabst initially didn't have the N.O.N. "No Opener Needed" on the cans and then marketing thought it best to take advantage of the new zip tabs and added it later. I believe I also read an article that initial testing of the new zip top cans was in northern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. I can't seem to find it now.

Picked these up yesterday. The Ale is an upgrade. The Bock is definitely an upgrade since I only had a dumper with a large hole. Always wanted a great example of this can.

Not really. Fellow RBer showed them to me over a month ago and I couldn’t stop thinking about how clean they were and had never seen examples in that condition. He’s building a Jeep and my price was right.

Probably one of my most exciting additions. Got the letters in the mail today but they are a tad small. Would love to figure out where to find the correct size. Anyone here know? The slide measures roughly 3.5 inches. I hung it before testing because I was told it worked. Put it up and nothing. Tap on it and bingo. Took it down tonight. Needs a new starter and two new bulbs. Had to steal these from my shed lol. Also the end of one of the bulbs was broken and the spring was hanging out. Had to squeeze the spring back in then break a clip off of a plastic
Flashlight to recreate the spring housing then tape it together. Works like a charm. Pics on the wall with one light bulb burning. On the floor with both and letters. The small chains to hang it from the wall make me nervous
