I
Tabs are more my thing but the Goldcrest is from Memphis, my first real Tennessee can. I have a little side collection of Colorado flats and Ale cans, love the greens. And the stars all aligned, and was able to pick up the Cooks "500" Still have a #*%* eating grin on my face.

Holy shamolie !! That’s a nice take. Good for you!
Goldcrest from TN is a tough can. Very few flats/cones from the state of TN.
Congrats!

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
My wife's cousin was doing some remodeling on his house in Coos Bay, Oregon and found this in a wall. Nothing earth shattering but it's a hair better than the one I had and with the family connection is definitely a keeper. There was also a cool Jolly Time pop corn can he found. He was kind enough to offer them for free but my wife did buy him a pizza.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Great story! Thanks for sharing.
I noticed the USBF logo on the bottom of can. Wonder if that was that a local brewery idea or a Regional one or maybe even a National one where that logo appeared all over the country on different brands?
Anyone got different brands with that logo?

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
It was a good week for Fox Deluxe acquisitions. The can on the left is my downgrade and the one on the right I got on ebay earlier this week. I think I may keep the downgrade because it has a different vanity top. I am very happy with the new can. It looks better in real life than it did in the auction pictures. The glass is a nice pickup from ebay. I do not recall seeing a small one like this before.
I have both the IRTP and non-IRTP version of this can. Does anyone know which one is tougher? Actually, both are fairly tough since most of these cans are the Chicago version.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
uh, so your the one that got that Fox. I would of bid more but the pictures were terrible & it looked like some paint spilled on bottom front& I didn't know if it would come off. Plus I couldn't see if it was IRTP or non IRTP. The Non IRTP is definitely tougher. LEON.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Yes, there is a little bit of something spilled on the front bottom. I got most of it off with my thumbnail. In time, I should be able to get the rest off.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Love the lid on that FD can. Does look much better now than on ebay.
Agree with Leon, the Grand Rapids non-IRTP is far tougher than the IRTP. I've only seen 3 clean examples of the non-IRTP version.

Surprised that fine ocean air and constant rain at Coos Bay didn't rust the heck out of that Blitz.....must have been in a pretty airtight situation.Scott wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 3:58 pm My wife's cousin was doing some remodeling on his house in Coos Bay, Oregon and found this in a wall. Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
This can has been on my "if I find the right can at the right price" list for sometime. Struck a trade deal with Mark Rigney on Friday for this one. Came out of a small collection he recently acquired. Tough can to photograph and one that truly looks far better in hand than in my pics. Bottom opened and nice State of Georgia tax stamp lid too.
